There's something soothing about cutting paper. Something delightfully contradictory about cutting up to create. When an idea creeps in, the process itself reminds me of carving or sculpting.

I like to look at the mess created by the pursue to complete a piece of paper art. Variously coloured, angular snippets and serpents of paper all over the place. (See here.)
